Kuch Bhi is operated by Parul Jauhari and Anoop, based in India. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Kuch Bhi app, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, phone number, email address, and profile identifier. We use this solely to create and maintain your account. We do not ask for or store your Google or Apple password.
When you use the app, we store your saved recipes, search history, household preferences, and any other choices you make within the app. This data is stored on our servers and linked to your account so your experience carries across devices.
We use Firebase and Mixpanel to understand how people use the app — which features are popular, where people get stuck, how often the app is opened. This includes device type, operating system, app version, and general usage patterns. We do not track your precise location. We do not read your contacts, messages, or any data outside the app.
We use your microphone only when you press Record to use the voice search function. Your phone number is used only for account authentication and the delegate feature.
We do not collect your payment information, health records, or precise location. We do not access your camera, or photo library. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers. We never will.
Your account information lets you sign in and keep your data across devices. Your saved recipes and preferences power the app's recommendations — without them, every session would start from scratch. Analytics help us understand what's working and what to fix. That's it.
Only the Kuch Bhi team has access to your data, and only for the purposes of running and improving the app. We use Supabase (database hosting), Google Firebase (analytics and authentication), and Mixpanel (product analytics). These services have their own privacy policies and process data on our behalf. We do not share your data with any other third parties.
When you share a recipe or ingredient list with your cook via WhatsApp or other messaging apps, that content leaves our app and enters the messaging platform. We have no control over or access to those messages once shared.
Your data is retained as long as you have an active account. If you want to delete your account and all associated data, email us at support@kuchbhi.co and we will process the deletion within 30 days. You can also clear your search history and saved recipes from within the app at any time.
Kuch Bhi is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored on secured cloud infrastructure. We follow standard security practices, but no system is 100% secure — we're honest about that.
